About Dr. WAN

Dr. Bo Wan, MD, PhD, is an ophthalmologist and vision researcher affiliated with the Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology, Beijing Tongren Hospital, and Capital Medical University in Beijing, China. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher under the supervision of Professor Zi-Bing Jin (an internationally recognized authority in high myopia and inherited retinal diseases) at Beijing Tongren Hospital, where she also completed her Ph.D. training. Her work combines clinical ophthalmology with research focused on improving the understanding, prevention, and treatment of eye diseases. As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Wan is involved in both patient care and scientific investigation, with research interests that include myopia, cataracts, retinal disorders, and strategies for early intervention and disease prevention. Her work reflects a commitment to translating research discoveries into better outcomes for patients and families. Working within one of China's leading ophthalmology centers, Dr. Wan contributes to ongoing efforts to advance vision science and address the growing global challenge of myopia, particularly among children and adolescents.
